To support the on-going growth of our business, we are currently seeking a **Class 1 or 3** **:****Driver** **:**to join our West Edmonton team. The successful candidate will enjoy a variety of duties and will be joining a fast-paced, safe environment and diverse team! **Key Responsibilities: :** * Operate and drive Flat Deck Truck to transport materials on over urban/inter-urban routes * Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals and brakes * Oversee all aspects such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety * Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods * Comply with Federal/Provincial legislative requirements such as legal weight, speed limits, permitting, load security, hours of service, etc. * Administer bills of lading and maintain log book * Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices * Apply preventative maintenance and perform minor emergency roadside repairs * Complete other paperwork as required * Operate and perform in conformance with company processes and procedures **Essential Skills and Experience: :** * Valid Class 1 or Class 3 drivers license and commercial vehicle abstract * A minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience * Overhead Crane experience is an asset * Superior time management and organizational skills in order to prioritize tasks in a high volume and busy environment * Effective communication, both written and verbal; including the ability to interface with customers and personnel at all levels * Good mechanical aptitude * Able to work independently with minimal supervision **Company Offers: :** * Competitive compensation - negotiable dependent on skills and experience * Comprehensive benefits package * Outstanding work environment
