This step helps us prioritize applicants who have fully reviewed the role and our expectations.Position snapshot: We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead with deep expertise in technical recruitment to own and build our talent strategy from the ground up. This role demands strong technical literacy to engage directly with engineering leaders, understand stack-specific requirements (e.g., Full-Stack Web, DevOps, Product, React, Java Spring Boot, Unity, GCP), and successfully source and attract top-tier technical talent for critical roles. Beyond recruitment, youll also create scalable processes to support business and operations teams. Youll focus heavily on recruitment and hiring for engineering, business, and operations roles while developing foundational HR practices such as onboarding, contracts, and people operations. This highly autonomous role requires strong technical literacy to engage with engineering leaders, understand stack-specific requirements, and source top technical talent. Beyond recruitment, youll build foundational people processes like onboarding, contracts, and policies, all while working independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Your Talent Impact: Lead full-cycle recruitment across technical (engineering, product), business, and operational roles.Partner with leadership to define hiring needs, create compelling job descriptions, and design tailored hiring strategies.Build scalable talent acquisition processes and pipelines to support rapid growth.Develop and maintain contracts, offer letters, and other key HR documentation.Design and execute onboarding programs for a seamless and engaging new hire experience.Lead full-cycle recruitment across technical roles (engineering, product, UX/UI) as well as business and operational positions.Work closely with engineering managers to define technical role requirements, understand technology stacks, and develop effective hiring strategies.Leverage platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and niche tech job boards to proactively source passive technical candidates.Advise hiring managers on best practices in interviewing, selection, and talent retention.Establish key recruiting metrics and analytics to drive continuous improvement (time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, etc.).Create employer branding initiatives to position Voila / ConnectED Labs as a top destination for talent.Assist in developing people policies, systems, and tools that align with a growing, mission-driven startup.Support employee lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with employment laws and a positive employee experience.Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and niche job boards to proactively source and engage passive candidates.Work closely with engineering managers to define technical role requirements, understand technology stacks, and develop effective hiring strategies for technical teams.Act as a strategic partner to leadership, bringing creative solutions to attract and retain top talent across all functions.What do you need to succeed? 46+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with a strong focus on technical roles (engineering, product) in high-growth, startup environments.Technical literacy and the ability to have credible conversations with hiring managers about stack-specific needs (e.g., React, Java Spring Boot, Unity, GCP).Hands-on experience sourcing for hard-to-fill technical roles and engaging passive candidates on tech platforms (e.g., GitHub, Stack Overflow).Proven track record building technical hiring pipelines and reducing time-to-fill for engineering teams.Proficient in sourcing tools and platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and Stack Overflow.Prior experience as a recruiting lead or manager in a startup.Hands-on experience with Jira and other project management tools.Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and operates with high autonomy and initiative.Proven ability to build scalable recruiting processes and talent pipelines from scratch.What makes you stand out?
