Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Construction Site Superintendent to lead on-site activities for low- and mid-rise construction projects across Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating trades, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.This role requires a strong understanding of residential and mixed-use construction, with a focus on leadership, communication, and site-level execution.Key Responsibilities:Supervise all on-site construction activities for low- and mid-rise buildings, from site prep through to occupancy.Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades, deliveries, and material handling to ensure efficient workflows.Ensure compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and the Ontario Building Code (OBC).Monitor site progress and maintain schedules, reporting updates to the Project Manager.Identify and resolve site issues promptly to avoid delays or cost overruns.Maintain detailed site logs, daily progress reports, and safety documentation.Enforce all workplace health and safety regulations, ensuring full compliance with OHSA, WSIB, and internal safety protocols.Conduct regular site safety meetings and toolbox talks.Coordinate inspections with consultants, engineers, and municipal officials.Oversee site cleanliness, organization, and security.Lead deficiency walkthroughs and assist in final project handover and closeout.Qualifications:5+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreperson in low-rise or mid-rise residential/commercial construction.Proven ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors on active construction sites.Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, construction practices, and site safety legislation.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with site reporting tools and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Buildertrend).Valid G-Class drivers license and reliable transportationDiploma or certification in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, or related discipline.WHMIS, Working at Heights, First Aid/CPR, and other safety certifications.Experience working on Tarion warranty projects.Familiarity with green building standards (LEED, ENERGY STAR, etc.) is an asset.Working Conditions:Site-based role; must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.Standard work week is Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours or weekends based on project demands.If you are looking for a new opportunity to join a growing, fast paced, exciting company this could be your next career move!
