Were on the lookout for an Intermediate Designer who brings a high level of design talent, technical skill, and team leadership to the table.This role is perfect for a designer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced studio environmentsomeone who is passionate about crafting exceptional spaces and confident managing smaller projects while contributing to larger ones.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Leadership & CollaborationTake ownership of smaller-scale interior design projects from concept to completionContribute to mid- and large-scale projects in collaboration with senior design leadsDevelop mood boards, FF&E selections, elevations, and perspective visualsCreate and deliver compelling digital and physical presentation packagesAssist in presenting concepts to clients with clarity and creativityTechnical ExecutionProduce detailed drawing sets including floor plans, RCPs, millwork, and custom furnitureEnsure design intent is accurately translated into construction documentationCoordinate with consultants, engineers, and suppliers throughout all phasesApply knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements to all documentationRevise drawings based on internal redlines and project updatesProject SupportSupport the tendering and construction phases through documentation and on-site reviewsAttend site visits to review installation and address deficienciesDraft addendums and supplementary instructions as neededKeep internal stakeholders informed of scope or schedule changesTeam Development & Studio CultureMentor junior team members and support intern developmentOffer constructive feedback to foster team growth and project successParticipate in design charrettes and brainstorming sessionsContribute to a positive and inclusive studio culture through leadership and collaborationWhat You BringExperience & Education4+ years of experience in interior design with a focus on hospitality, retail, or residential sectorsDegree or diploma in Interior Design from a recognized institutionStrong portfolio demonstrating creativity, conceptual strength, and execution across project phasesFamiliarity with construction documentation and detailingKnowledge of Ontario Building Code (or other regional codes, as applicable)Technical ProficiencyProficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office SuiteWorking knowledge of Revit is a strong assetSkilled in Photoshop, InDesign, and SketchUpExperience with Enscape, Illustrator, or Ambient Occlusion is a bonusSoft SkillsHighly organized and detail-oriented with strong time managementClear communicator, both visually and verballyNaturally collaborative and supportive in a team settingSolution-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to challenges
