If you are ready to make a difference in the community in which you live and work, please apply today.THE OPPORTUNITY: Director, Project FundingCalgary Health Foundation is looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven project funding professional to join our team. Driven by a passion for health care and interest in improving health outcomes, as the Director, Project Funding, you will lead the team responsible for all aspects of project funding for the organization. This includes developing and managing funding procedures and toolssuch as the grant management systemevaluating and processing requests, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and guidelines, and monitoring and manage all fund balances.Key accountabilities of the role include:Leading the end-to-end funding process, from project application through to evaluation, recommendation, and approval, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, funding criteria, and agreements.Spearheading improvements and optimization of the grant management system, with focus on strong user functionality, efficiency, tracking accuracy, and reporting.Managing the allocation and disbursement of funds and overseeing fund balances and utilization, ensuring compliance with donor restrictions and legal requirements.Overseeing project monitoring, performance evaluation, and inputs for impact reporting to support transparency, continuous improvement, and stakeholder communications.Coaching and developing team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative culture while promoting a strong sense of purpose, community engagement, and shared success across the team.THE IDEAL CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical leader with a proven ability to assess program effectiveness and progress outcomes. Bringing project management expertise and sound business acumen, the successful incumbent excels at navigating and balancing multiple complex priorities while effectively managing rigorous tracking, evaluation, insightful reporting, and recommendations for continuous improvement. Possessing a highly collaborative mindset and exceptional interpersonal skills, development of strong and productive relationships will come naturally, both internally and across the health system, significantly contributing to the achievement of the organization's mission and goals.Additional qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., business, health-related, or sciences); Masters level education is an asset.A minimum of 7 years of relevant sector-specific experience in roles with a focus on project management and/or database management.A minimum of 3 years in a role leading and managing others.Experience with impact reporting frameworksparticularly in healthcare, post-secondary education, or researchis an asset.If this sounds like you, please apply by no later than August 1, 2025, including a cover letter and rsum.WHY JOIN US?At Calgary Health Foundation, we believe in the power of philanthropy to transform healthcare and improve lives.
