About UsLocated in Delta, our daycare is a nurturing, play-based early childhood education center committed to supporting childrens social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Our newly developed facility offers a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that reflects the natural beauty of our community. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Daycare Director to lead our team and guide the growth of our center.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & AdministrationProvide day-to-day operational leadership for all programs (Infant/Toddler, 3-5 years, Out of School Care if applicable)Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate early childhood educators and support staffManage enrollment processes, waitlists, and family communicationMaintain accurate records and reports as required by licensing and organizational policiesCompliance & LicensingEnsure full compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act and Child Care Licensing Regulation (CCLR)Liaise with Fraser Health Licensing Officers and ensure all inspections, documentation, and safety procedures are up to dateMaintain staff certifications (e.g., ECE, First Aid, CRCs) and oversee ongoing professional developmentProgram DevelopmentOversee implementation of a play-based, inclusive curriculum that meets the BC Early Learning FrameworkWork collaboratively with educators to ensure child-centered, developmentally appropriate programmingMonitor classroom environments and support continuous improvement initiativesParent & Community EngagementBuild strong, respectful relationships with families and serve as the primary contact for parent communication and conflict resolutionRepresent the center at community events and collaborate with local organizations and schoolsQualification: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate required; ECE with Special Needs and Infant/Toddler License is required;Minimum 5 years of experience in an ECE setting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role;Strong knowledge of BC Child Care Licensing Regulation and ELCC frameworksExcellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skillsProficient in written and verbal English; second language is an assetClear Criminal Record Check, current First Aid/CPR certification, and immunization recordsExperience with administrative tools (e.g., HiMama, ProCare, Microsoft Office)Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: $60,000$70,000 depending on experience and qualificationsBenefits package (extended health and dental)Paid professional development & ECEBC membership supportPaid sick days, vacation, and stat holidaysSupportive management and collaborative team culture
