Our client, a leading construction company with a strong presence across North America is seeking a highly skilled senior project manager to join its growing PMO. With a focus on large-scale infrastructure and linear construction, this role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact projects across Canada.Were looking for someone with proven experience delivering complex infrastructure projects in sectors like heavy civil, pipelines, underground utilities, or linear infrastructure, and who thrives in dynamic site-based environments.This is a remote role with requirement for regular travel to project sites throughout Canada.Key Responsibilities Include: Lead full-cycle delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects ($20M+), ensuring alignment with scope, budget, safety, and client expectationsDevelop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project, with regular updates based on field progressOversee and control project budgets, track cost performance, forecast variances, and implement corrective actions to protect marginsEstablish and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for issue resolution, scope discussions, and change order negotiationsManage risk proactively by identifying exposures, developing mitigation strategies, and adjusting project execution plans in real timeCoordinate and lead weekly project meetings with internal stakeholders, clients, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure alignment and momentumDirect the procurement and pre-qualification of subcontractors, issuing bid packages, conducting evaluations, and managing performance throughout the project lifecycleEnforce company safety protocols and lead on-site safety culture through tailboard talks, audits, and incident investigationsMentor and manage a team of project engineers, coordinators, and administrative staff, fostering accountability and professional developmentEnsure compliance with contractual requirements, including documentation control, reporting deliverables, and milestone trackingProvide clear, accurate, and timely reporting to senior leadership on progress, financials, risks, and key project metricsKey Skills and Qualifications Include:10+ years of progressive experience managing heavy civil, pipeline, or infrastructure projectsProven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams delivering projects valued at $20M or moreStrong knowledge of civil scopes such as earthworks, underground utilities, site development, or pipeline installationExperience managing multiple subcontractors and interfacing with engineering, procurement, and client teamsComfortable in fast-paced, remote field environments with a hands-on leadership styleStrong working knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, and cost management toolsDegree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline preferred (equivalent experience considered)Willingness to travel and work full-time from project sites across Canada up to 40% of the time.Whats Offered:Competitive compensation package with paid vacation and personal time offFlexible work arrangements, including remote work options when not on-siteComprehensive health, dental, and retirement benefitsLead major infrastructure projects across Canada and the U.S.We thank all applicants for their interest in the posted positions, however only those that meet the qualifications of the role will be contacted.
