This ensures a competitive and quality level of service while respecting the deadlines agreed with customers.As a member of the DC Operations team and reporting to the Datacenter Manager, the DC IT Technician ensures the proper functioning of the data center infrastructure by securing the equipment's installation and maintenance, which guarantees the equipments continuity of service. Please note that this job position will be located at v, ON, N3E 1B8.40h/weeks, 36$/h. #Responsibilities Contribute to datacenter systems architecture and ensure 1st level of support Optimize the racks for new servers Connect power and network cables within server and network racks Wire the incoming cables and network within the racks respecting wiring scheme Install / Uninstall servers as required by the DC Team Leader and in accordance with the operational plan Assemble and install computer hardware (assemble / install / upgrade/ update servers) Adhere to health and safety rules and regulatory requirements Escalate incident tickets to Level 2 support where appropriate Contribute to Datacenter maintenance Complete interventions on the equipment in response to monitoring alerts or customer tickets Upgrade the servers (change obsolete components) Undertake curative maintenance on delivered servers Troubleshoot technical issues using various tools: network, serversPerform regular established maintenance procedures Understand and maintain cabling systems Replace failed networking devices within racks Implement actions to resolve problems related to the server environment Ensure servers are functioning properly via analysis and monitoring For all these actions, use the right tools and keep assets databases up to date : stock, assets, status, actions, etc Manage and resolve system failures quickly Assist team members with other relevant maintenance tasks within the Datacenter Coordinate activity with all 24/7 teams and help improve customer relations Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department, meeting the requirements set out in the quality management system Help maintain good customer relations and customer satisfaction on a daily basis Ensure information is shared between maintenance agents and provide reports to the Team Leader Respect the schedule and targets set by the Team Leader#Skills - Technical skills A keen interest in IT and computer hardware products/components Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques Basic knowledge of computer networking Physically capable and available to work weekends, public holidays, and evenings Effective problem-solving abilities Fluency in English - Soft skills A team player with excellent communications skills Customer centric oriented Attention to detail and a solution oriented approach Positive and proactive mindset Organizational skills- Background Post-secondary or equivalent qualification in electronics / IT / Maintenance A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role Experience of building and maintaining computers #Benefits At OVHcloud, we feel that it's important to contribute to the well-being of our employees.
