Youll create, implement, and lead end-to-end customs programs across the companys Canadian footprint from HS classification to FTA eligibility and valuation.What Youll Be DoingLead the design and execution of customs compliance across 10+ Canadian sites.Develop and enforce standard operating procedures, documentation controls, and policy frameworks.Own core compliance processes: HS classification, valuation, origin, FTAs (CETA, CUSMA).Manage customs brokers, oversee audits, respond to CBSA inquiries.Provide training and guidance to executives, engineering, logistics, and operations teams.Supervise at least one direct report; potential to build a broader team.Act as the interface with senior stakeholders and U.S.-based corporate leaders.Report compliance data to internal leadership and regulatory authorities.Collaborate with legal and export teams on investigations, integration, and corrective action plans.What You Bring1015 years of Canadian customs compliance experience.Demonstrated strength in HS classification, valuation, and origin determination.Deep familiarity with CBSA, Canadas Customs Act, Export and Import Permits Act, CETA, and CUSMA.Experience managing policies and procedures across multiple entities/sites.Confidence communicating with executives, regulators, and brokers alike.Leadership skills whether direct people management or managing up.High ethical standards, detail-oriented mindset, and a passion for doing things right.Please send your resume in Word format to Maia Slivinschi at A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
