This role is responsible for identifying, assessing, and leading various process and technology improvement initiatives with a focus on business process continuous improvement. This role will work closely with Finance and cross-functional teams from global business units and IT to execute finance transformation projects. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker capable of translating business requirements into best practice business processes that align with the Finance function''''s strategic transformation vision. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity and change, embracing the opportunities and challenges presented by a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Design, clearly communicate, and implement simple solutions and process improvements for complex business problems. Drive in-depth analysis and elaboration on Business requirements for business requested changes, implementation activities, and evolution of our solutions. Starting with often only a vague outline of a business problem, drive analysis and requirements elaboration, working with internal stakeholders, and many different external stakeholders, including global Finance, Sales, Product & Marketing, Operations, HR and IT departments Work in agile design and development processes to build agile user stories with detailed acceptance criteria Actively lead, participate and coach in agile ceremonies on all projects meetings, Participate and frequently lead meetings and elaboration sessions with a view to solving customer pain points Develop and produce documentation material to support client initiatives or implementations Successfully liaise within the team and clients, impacted business units, external partners, and/or vendors (where appropriate) on cross-functional initiatives to meet deliverables and influence decision making to maximize operational efficiencies with minimal downstream implications Define, recommend and build opportunities for operational or efficiency improvements to enhance current processes Scope of work: Transforming business needs into high-quality billing processes Managing the impact of changes to the billing lifecycle for the services & products Onboarding contracts, offboarding, stop-sell facilitation Partnering with the Taxation team to resolve questions pertaining to billing Ensuring correct billing setup for metered usage for various services to reflect service utilization properly Design and document mediation workflows and requirements to support the implementation of automated mediation Enabling billing for products (onboarding, billing set up & enablement) Interpreting customer contract language to set up billing Transformation and continuous improvement of billing processes Revenue assurance support (process mapping, facilitation, coordination) First point of contact for internal billing inquiries across the value chain Initiating billing in line with product/service readiness by client Collaborating with the PMO, Billing, Finance, Product management, Operations, and Systems Applications teams to resolve billing process issues Revising/Updating/Creating Documentation as necessary Ability to perform process flow mapping Customer-dedicated billing support (data analysis and interpretation) Audit compliance & continuous audit support What you bring: 3+ years of expertise in a Business Analyst or a comparable analytical type of business role 1+ years in Finance, Product Development, Operations Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong customer focus Proven ability to facilitate the collection of requirements and documentation of business processes from a broad set of stakeholders Capable, curious, and willing learner who proactively researches solutions to business challenges Ability to develop documentation and presentations using logical reasoning and structuring Highly developed personal planning and organizational skills Ability to adapt quickly to change and work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to client commitments Strong analytical problem identification and problem-solving skills Ability to structure agile epics, including planning and writing complex user stories with detailed acceptance criteria. Solid quantitative and analytical skills complemented by the ability to understand the business context Excellent critical and conceptual thinking Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to base decisions on sound business acumen and data Enthusiasm! Being a self-starter with the willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and on cross-functional teams in a pressured environment Exposure to the project management lifecycle Great-to-Haves: 3 to 5 years of experience in Business Analysis & project management Competency in Google Suite Salesforce, Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue, Certinia, DigitalRoute, Workday or SAP experience an asset International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification an asset Workshop and facilitation training Technical writing, Training material documentation Familiarity with BI analytics tools (Data Google Studio, Looker, BigQuery, SiSense, Tableau, Alteryx, SAS, etc.) Process Mapping and Journey Mapping experience an asset Great to have certifications: CSPO certification an asset Scrum Master Certification an asset IBA-AAC (Agile Analysis Certification): Focuses on applying agile principles in business analysis an asset CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis): Aimed at professionals with two to three years of business analysis experience, demonstrating foundational skills. Process Mapping Specialist: An online certification focusing on process mapping skills, including the use of BPMN notation and techniques IBA-CBDA (Business Data Analytics Certification): Recognizes expertise in data analysis related to business analytics initiatives CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional): The highest competency-based certification from IIBA, demonstrating mastery of business analysis and leadership.
