Main duties include diagnosing and treating diseases, prescribing medications, ordering lab tests, x-rays, and other diagnostic procedures, and consulting with other physicians, which constitutes 75% of the role. The successful candidate will be eligible for appointment as an Assistant Professor and will be a full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, comprising 25% of the role. The duties are primarily in English. The role involves inpatient and outpatient care, with responsibilities in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, and tertiary care. The candidate is expected to conduct independent research and supervise postgraduate trainees. The primary location is the Health Sciences Centre, with secondary responsibilities at other sites within the region. Qualifications The candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Urology, be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Fellowship training in endourology and minimally invasive surgery is required. Research experience and additional postgraduate training or degrees are assets. A commitment to education and research is desirable. Compensation Compensation is based on fee-for-service income. Specialty Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive.
