Childrens Hospital of Eastern Ontario The Childrens Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) is inviting applicants for a full time Pediatric Urology position. The Division of Urology at CHEO is affiliated with the University of Ottawa urology training program and is comprised of 4 academic fellowship trained Pediatric Urologists. CHEO is the only pediatric referral center for Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and Nunavut. CHEO provides comprehensive, family-centered, interdisciplinary diagnosis and treatment for congenital and acquired surgical conditions, traumatic injuries, cancer and other complex health conditions of childhood. The successful candidate will join three Pediatric Urologists at a comprehensive, freestanding, Childrens Hospital with an established teaching and research focus, including a funded pediatric urology fellowship program. The preferred candidate will; Have certification in Urology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) Be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario Be eligible for appointment to the Department of Surgery, University of Ottawa Have a strong academic/research background, and is expected to complement the Divisions academic and research productivity Be expected to be fully engaged in residency and fellowship training Be able to function proficiently in English French language skills are an asset Remuneration and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The source of physician income is based on a long standing fully mature Alternate Funding Plan.
