Consultant Psychiatrist & Medical Director We are seeking an experienced full-time Consultant Psychiatrist and Medical Director to work at Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke, providing senior medical cover on Knightstone Ward, our 15-bed specialized rehabilitation service for women with personality disorder and complex needs. The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician, overseeing and maintaining the care of all ward inpatients as required. They will also be responsible for auditing the medical services at the ward to ensure quality in accordance with GMC standards and other professional guidelines. The role also includes being the Medical Director at Cygnet Kewstoke, a 71-bed hospital offering emergency admissions for men and women, and a pathway for women to rehabilitation, including a specialized service for personality disorder. Your expertise will drive life-changing treatments, supported by a Specialty Doctor and a multidisciplinary team including nurses, psychologists, and occupational therapists. Main duties of the job Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke has a ''Good'' CQC rating, providing emergency services and a rehabilitation pathway for women with personality disorder. Knightstone Ward is a specialized service for assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for women with complex needs. The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician, responsible for patient treatment and liaising with the multidisciplinary team. The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician, overseeing inpatient care and auditing medical services to ensure quality standards are met. This is a full-time position with 0.2 WTE as Medical Director and 0.8 WTE as Consultant Psychiatrist.
