Based at its head office located in the financial district, downtown Toronto, Northbridge is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its close-knit legal team. You will work closely with dedicated business groups comprised of energetic and highly motivated professionals, including vendor management and IT teams, as well as other internal business groups. You will provide advice and assist in reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including IT contracts, and provide legal support in other areas such as regulatory/compliance matters related to third party risk management. You will report to the Assistant General Counsel and provide legal advice and support at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have 3 5 years of corporate/commercial experience gained in a leading law firm or corporation. In addition, experience in commercial IT matters would be an asset. Familiarity with third party risk management, OSFI Guideline B-10, and privacy laws would be beneficial, although training will be provided where needed. Strong drafting and negotiating skills, as well as being a team player and possessing a high degree of integrity, will be important. Finally, sound business judgment, a willingness to learn and strong client service orientation in dealing with internal and external clients are essential to success in this position.
