Thats why SickKids Foundation is looking for a new Director Innovation and Process Improvement . Description Of The Position The Foundations Strategic Plan recognizes the need to invest in targeted innovation to drive sustainable revenue and improve efficiency. This highly visible new role that reports directly to the Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer has been established to help drive this work. In this capacity, you''ll need to use your proven problem-solving capabilities, analytical skills and change management expertise. Working in collaboration with the senior management team, you will effect operational transformation to support projects across business units and drive Innovation to better enable the Foundation to achieve its strategic objectives. The role includes leading the Strategic Plan development process and ongoing monitoring and management for reporting to the Board. This role will provide strategic leadership and direction at a senior level to identify, prioritize and launch critical projects, drive the projects to deliver desired outcomes, manage interdependencies and cross functional inputs to enable decisions in the best interests of the organization. You Will Engage senior leaders, staff, Board members and Hospital partners, providing insights into system wide challenges, aligning opportunities with strategic goals, and helping to define a vision for a future-state Foundation. Develop a deep understanding of Foundation processes, fundraising and donor experience strategies to lead the development of viable, data-informed improvement plans. Drive the implementation of Process and Fundraising Improvement initiatives by engaging sponsors and stakeholders and promoting organization-wide understanding of concepts through coaching, mentoring, and training. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement across the Foundation. Co-create innovative, user-centered solutions with stakeholders, ensuring changes address needs and enhance experiences by applying Industrial Engineering techniques, Design Thinking, Lean Methodology and Six-Sigma and other techniques. Plan and implement change management strategies to ensure understanding and successful adoption of new initiatives/solutions. Build and lead a diverse, talented and high performing team to achieve all objectives and as required, lead cross-functional project teams to drive progress. Develop multi-level project reporting tailored for a diverse audience comprised of the Board, Senior Team, employees and others as required. Define and implement frameworks, methodologies, standards, processes and tools for innovation, continuous improvement and project management. Lead end-to-end process to develop Strategic Plan, in collaboration with senior leaders and the Board, including ongoing monitoring and reporting. Keep up to date with relevant market conditions, industry trends, emerging analytics, technologies and business models to inform colleagues, anticipate longer term needs and potential disruptors. Qualifications While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role: Proven ability to collaborate across complex organizations and multiple stakeholders to forge mutually empowering relationships and partnerships to drive well managed change. Passion for solving complex problems and a strong interest in understanding multiple perspectivesincluding those of staff, donors, hospital staff and senior management. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to communicate vision and strategy, to inspire and motivate staff. Demonstrated ability to apply Design Thinking and Human Factors principles to structure challenges and co-develop meaningful, actionable solutions. Proficiency in applying classical Industrial Engineering techniques as well as Lean and Six-Sigma DMAIC problem solving methodology. Strong analytical and systems thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize operational data, frontline insights, into clear, logical recommendations. Proven experience in strategic planning including scenario planning, benchmarking and reporting. Minimum bachelors degree in a related field; Certification in Project Management is considered an asset. 10 years of successful leadership experience and experience implementing large scale, business transformation with proven success in improving efficiencies and effectiveness. Excellent strategic conceptual thinking and execution skills. Demonstrated success in building and retaining a high performing team to achieve goals by inspiring, developing and mentoring staff. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams. Results oriented and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Total Compensation Package Hiring Salary Range: $132,767.00 $165,958.00; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $190,853.00. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Director Innovation & Process Improvement.
