RBC, one of Canadas largest and most respected employers, is looking for a Senior Manager, Advanced People Analytics to join our HR Data Sciences Team. Leveraging advanced analytics, statistics, research science, machine learning and cutting-edge technologies such as Generative AI, this team is sought after to surface crucial insights that inform talent and business strategies. You will lead research projects and product development efforts that will transform workforce data into actionable insights. You will work independently on analyses but also collaborate with to a team of highly qualified data scientists and engineers. You will be a go-to consultant for senior stakeholders in the business and HR, giving strategic advice and recommendations on an on-going basis. We are looking for someone who is excited to move the People Analytics field forward. Through previous work experience, community involvement or personal projects, you have a clear passion for what you do. What will you do? Design & Lead: Design and lead end-to-end advanced analytics and quantitative research projects across all phases of the employee life cycle. Develop evidence-based frameworks and models to support talent management, development, and workforce planning. Mentor and develop a team of analysts, researchers and data scientists fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture. Analyze & Execute: Identify trends, patterns, and root causes in complex datasets and translate findings into strategic, actionable insights. Conduct advanced analyses (descriptive, diagnostic and prescriptive) using methods such as causal inference, time series analysis, hypothesis testing, supervised and unsupervised ML etc. Monitor KPIs and workforce metrics to track organizational health and recommend interventions. Advise & Collaborate: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior HR and business leaders by translating complex data into clear, compelling narratives and strategic recommendations. Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Business, IT and other departments to deliver high quality results. What do you need to succeed? Must have: Degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Business, I/O Psychology, or related field 7+ years of experience in people analytics, talent research, or related data-intensive HR roles ideally in a matrixed or global organization Proven experience with advanced analytics, statistics and predictive modeling Proficiency in tools such as Python, SQL, and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Deep understanding of HR functions, workforce dynamics, and employee lifecycle Strong leadership and project management skills with experience managing and growing high-performing teams Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; able to influence and advise senior leaders. Nice-to-have: Experience with Workday HRIS Experience with employee listening and survey analytics. Familiarity with external labor market data, benchmarking tools, and workforce intelligence platforms. Familiarity with organizational network analysis (ONA), NLP, or text analytics applied to HR data. Knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) as they relate to employee data.
