As an Industrial AI Specialist, you will develop, deploy, and maintain advanced AI/ML solutions for complex engineering challenges. This role demands a solid foundation in software development, machine learning, and cloud technologies, with a focus on real-world aerospace applications such as defect detection, design optimization, and intelligent data analysis.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement full-stack AI/ML systems for aerospace applications including:Automated defect detectionField data mining and anomaly detectionComponent and design optimizationKnowledge modeling and natural language processingProvide technical leadership across AI, software engineering, and cloud deployment.Drive AI/ML projects from initial concept through to production deployment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, data scientists, and product stakeholders.Develop and maintain automated data pipelines integrating structured, unstructured, and multi-modal data sources.Ensure quality through comprehensive testing using Python test frameworks like pytest.Maintain operational reliability of AI systems in distributed GPU environments.Required Qualifications:Education:Bachelors degree with 48 years of experience ORMasters degree with 24 years of experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.Specialization in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science preferred.Technical Skills:Strong foundational knowledge in AI algorithms, including:Search algorithms, probabilistic models, optimization, neural networks, transformersProficiency in Python and at least one compiled language such as C, Fortran, or Rust.Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as:PyTorch, Scikit-learn, LangChain, DatabricksExperience with MLOps and deployment in GPU-distributed environments.Solid experience in cloud development (AWS or Azure).Proficient with DevOps and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes (k8s).Experience deploying AI applications in production environments.Skilled in data engineering, including ETL pipeline development and automation.Software Development Practices:Familiar with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.Comfortable using revision control systems like Git or SVN.Experience working on cross-platform environments: Windows and Linux.Nice to Have:Prior experience in aerospace, aviation, or industrial engineering domains.Familiarity with natural language processing for knowledge modeling tasks.Exposure to large language models (LLMs) and vector database integrations.Whats in it for you?Work on cutting-edge AI applications that impact real-world aerospace systems.Be part of an innovation-driven environment that values collaboration, initiative, and continuous improvement.Contribute to mission-critical solutions that enhance the safety, performance, and sustainability of modern aircraft.Access to state-of-the-art tools and compute resources for AI development and experimentation.ALTEN Canada fosters a dynamic and collaborative work environment where team members are empowered to unleash their full potential.
