The Opportunity! As the Vice President, Employee Benefits , you will be responsible for growing and managing our Employee Benefits operations, performance, relationships, and revenue. Your role involves improving efficiencies, increasing engagement, and fostering cross-functional teamwork by eliminating barriers between branches, departments, and functions. You will collaborate with the National Employee Benefits team on regional accounts. You will work with the Chief Strategy Officer to design, communicate, and follow up on Employee Benefit Sales and Cross-Sell initiatives. Ensuring mentorship and development of Employee Benefits Managers to meet their goals, and fostering practices that attract and retain talent, aiming for excellence in service and work quality. The role also involves building positive, results-oriented relationships across departments, with the sales team, clients, and carrier markets. You should possess advanced product knowledge, industry relationships, and the ability to analyze and compare insurance products objectively. Full-time in-office presence required, with regional visibility. Reporting directly to the COO and Chief Strategy Officer, supporting Sales and Operations teams. Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Leading and building the Employee Benefits team to attract, hire, and retain top talent. Leading client retention initiatives and addressing reasons for losses. Developing the Employee Benefits operations structure to support sales across locations. Acting as liaison between regional and national leadership groups. Monitoring and improving branch performance for growth, revenue, profitability, and satisfaction. Communicating regularly with employees, listening, and resolving concerns. Collaborating with the Chief Strategy Officer on initiatives, goals, and training. Deploying, training, and monitoring branch goals throughout the year. Managing existing clients and pursuing new opportunities. What you will bring to the role: Approximately 10 years of progressive industry and management experience. Life Insurance License or a clear path to obtaining one. Post-secondary education (desired). Experience managing across organizational boundaries. Advanced knowledge of Employee Benefits processes, underwriting, and procedures. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and confidentiality. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Business acumen and strategic thinking. Results-oriented with effective time and resource management. Proficiency with Broker Management Software and Microsoft Office. Strong relationship-building skills and client focus.
