As a result of continued growth, Brandt Development Ltd. is currently seeking full-time permanent Structural Erectors/Metal Cladding Installers.Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to install structural steel frames, metal cladding, trims, and insulation.Knowledgeable in reading, understanding and interpreting blueprints.Assist in planning the sequence of tasks to install structural steel, miscellaneous metals and building envelopes most efficiently.Work at elevated heights safely with the use of aerial work platforms and ladders.Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.Rig, hoist and move materials with the assistance of mobile cranes and other equipment within worksite.Working independently and with a team in a high paced construction environment.Must be able to travel and work at various job site locations across Canada for extended periods.Always maintain a clean and safe worksite.Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.Ability to use a computer, email and iPhone applications an assetRequired Skills:Minimum 3 years steel erecting and /or metal cladding installation experience.Able to effectively communicate in both technical and user-friendly language when appropriate, with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management.Excellent time management skills.Journeyperson certification preferred.Safety training in fall protection, aerial platform and WHMIS preferred.Ability to work shift work.Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.Effective written and verbal communications.Experience with pre-engineered and conventional steel structures an asset.
