Position Title: Senior Implementation Program Lead Smart Infrastructure ProjectsLocation: Mississauga or Markham, ONWe are seeking an experienced Senior Program Lead to manage the deployment of advanced smart metering infrastructure (AMI) systems for clients in the utilities sector, with an emphasis on large-scale or Tier 1 initiatives. In this position, you will act as the primary liaison between the client and internal teams, ensuring successful execution of complex rollouts from initiation through completion, while balancing client satisfaction and business objectives.This role may include oversight of project staff such as coordinators and other specialists depending on project complexity. You will be responsible for tracking deliverables, budgets, and schedules while ensuring timely communication with stakeholders both internally and externally. Working in collaboration with technical teams, you'll troubleshoot challenges, propose solutions, and ensure alignment with scope and performance expectations.This is a key role for professionals passionate about leading infrastructure modernization efforts in the energy sector.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the main contact for customer-facing AMI deploymentsLead and coordinate implementation activities from kickoff to completionDevelop and manage detailed project schedules and resource plansMonitor project financials and report on budget performanceIdentify and mitigate risks, ensuring smooth and timely deliveryCreate and maintain status updates and reporting tools for both client and internal useCollaborate with engineering and IT to resolve technical challengesSupport governance processes, compliance, and issue escalation as neededPromote alignment across internal project teams and client stakeholdersTravel within the region as required (approx. 2530%)Required QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent practical experienceMinimum 7 years of project leadership experience, preferably in the utility or infrastructure spaceProfessional project management certification (PMP or Prince2)Valid Ontario G-class drivers licenseMust be eligible for Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance if working in MississaugaPreferred AttributesMasters degree in business or a related disciplineDeep knowledge of project delivery methodologies and governanceAbility to lead teams and influence decisions across departmentsComfortable working independently and proactivelyDemonstrated experience managing major utility-focused initiativesStrong written and verbal communication skillsPlease note: This job posting is just a preview of the full scope of the position.
