General Description The Application Operation team supports the design and development of custom and core applications. As an Application and Database Specialist, you will bring a diverse skill set to implement operational service and support assignments. You will collaborate with the Operations Applications team to gather business requirements, address usability concerns, and document solutions. Supporting the entire Corporate Operations group, you will handle system projects by analyzing data, generating reports, and managing data imports and updates to support users. Success depends on demonstrating ethical behavior and adhering to policies, procedures, and professional standards. Responsibilities include: Assist with daily management of Geotab Software operations Contribute to planning, design, development, and documentation of systems Gather data for process and gap analysis, design new functionalities, and test products Participate in project walkthroughs, testing, and system upgrades Support database setup for large residential contracts, including address and container tracking Assist with online training sessions as needed Perform other related duties What We Need From You Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills Knowledge of the transportation industry Analytical and creative problem-solving skills 5+ years of experience with SQL, Reporting tools, SSRS, and Tableau 3+ years developing reports in Tableau and SSRS 3-5 years of experience with Geotab Familiarity with telematics systems and GIS platforms 2-3 years supporting ticketing software, testing, and deployment Experience with waste industry platforms like TRUX or RTA is a plus Valid drivers license and ability to travel within Canada and occasionally to the US Ability to pass pre-employment requirements What Youll Get From Us Competitive wages Retirement plan with company match Medical, Dental, Vision benefits Additional perks such as Employee Assistance Program, Scholarship Opportunities, Employee Stock Purchase Plan Insurance coverage including Life and Disability We thank all applicants for their interest.
