Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for duct cleaning and maintenance on residential heating, air conditioning and water heating systems. This role involves conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of HVAC systems. This individual plays a crucial role in maintaining optimal indoor air quality, extending the lifespan of HVAC systems, and contributing to customer experiences. **Perks and benefits to working at Action Furnace:** * Paid training program * Paid tuition program * Health and dental benefits, RRSP matching program, and Health Spending Account benefits * Company iPhone, iPad, and vehicle * Flexible schedule * Unlimited growth opportunities * Amazing company culture **Responsibilities:** This position will include, but not be limited to the following: **Duct Cleaning** * Perform duct cleaning in residential homes using portable vacuum and high-pressured air **HVAC Tune Ups** * Complete inspection and cleaning of residential gas furnaces * Complete inspection and cleaning of central air conditioning units * Perform safety check on residential HVAC systems **Customer Solutions** * Recommend and explain to the homeowner the services needed to prolong the lifespan of the HVAC equipment * Share the results of the safety check with homeowners and make them aware of any hazards **Customer Experience** * Ensure customers are comfortable, and understand the work conducted * Explain the services provided to customers, and what will need to be done to prolong the systems lifespan **Safety** * Actively participate in the company safety program and maintain cooperation to OH&S guidelines * Conduct daily vehicle inspections and basic vehicle maintenance **Qualifications:** * Minimum 3-year drivers license with clean abstract * Problem-solving skills * Positive attitude * Team player * Strong organizational skills * Customer/member service oriented **Values:** * **Commitment to Teaching and Learning** Demonstrates ownership of work, ability to help others by encouraging, motivating, and coaching. * **Integrity** Demonstrates ability to follow through on commitments Do the right thing. * **Embrace Change** Demonstrates a can do mentality and takes on an assertive approach to welcoming changes set out by the leadership team. * **Team Player** Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve company objectives. **Please note** Action Furnace will only indenture new apprentices under the Gas Fitter B trade.
