Job Description

**Job Summary** We are seeking a dedicated **Full-Time Cook** to join our team at an Out-of-Home Living Program for children and youth, aged 6 to 18 years. Society for Autism Support and Services (SASS) is an Alberta-based registered charitable organization providing comprehensive support and education services for people with Autism and related disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with the Canada Food Guide, ensuring the dietary needs and preferences of the children and youth in the program are met. **Hours of Work:** Monday - Friday. 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. **Duties** * Provide nutritious meals for the children and youth in the OOHLP as per the Canada Food Guide. * Ensure that all meals are ready on time, according to the schedule. * Ensure that the amount of food prepared corresponds to the number of clients eating. * Ensure that snacks are available for children/youth in the program, as required. * Keep kitchen clean and organized at all times. * Responsible for ensuring that all dishes are bleached and sanitized, as per the procedure set up by the health department. * Order weekly groceries. * Other related duties. **Experience** * Food handler certificate. * Three (3) years of cooking experience * Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. * Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. * Cook for large groups. * Ability to order groceries online. * Knowledge of proper food storage. * Good communication skills. * Ability to multi-task.
