Job Description

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Read travelers and/or follows verbal instructions to ascertain equipment and set up required. * Select and set up air operated hand tools and fixtures on workbench. * Being able to control electronic computer and peripheral electronic data processing equipment such as mouse and keyboard to process data and information and report errors to the lead or supervisor. * Check in-coming and out-going materials for quality and quantity as per the Four Level Defect Category. Prepare necessary documentation as required and report defects to the department lead/supervisor. * Being able to use the boundary boards to make judgment calls or recommendations to the lead /supervisor on quality issues. * Produce complete cabinet assemblies from spot- welded sheet metal and other components. * Feed parts in and out of preset automatic welder and actuate palm buttons to complete welding. * Perform moderate amount fitting, aligning and polishing to a diversified line of sheet metal fabricated components, cabinets etc. * Stack completed product on skids and move to storage. * Monitor and verify that the quality and quantity of work performed meets Bobrick standards. * Maintain the production process, including self- balancing flow process, in a capable and aligned state and work to continuously improve. * Participate and recommend new and improved work methods for work performed. * Maintain a healthy and safe environment by keeping the work area clean, materials positioned correctly and follow safe operating procedures at all times. * Participate and support projects, charter teams and events to meet the stated goals and budget. * Perform all operations in a single work cell including but not limited to stripping, assembly, packing operations and basic material layout. * Perform daily pre-use inspection checklist on equipment. * Assist with material handling operations. * Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must learn the basic principles of self-balancing flow manufacturing and cross-train on all functions needed for assigned work cells. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **Education and/or Experience:** High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 to 2 year related experience in sheet metal manufacturing, welding and in a manufacturing settings, assembly work preferred. Self-Balancing Flow manufacturing knowledge or experience is an asset Good knowledge of shop and safety practices is essential. Interpersonal skills and attention to details. **Language Skills:** Ability to read and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write time attendance and fill out necessary paperwork. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing, giving clear and concise messages. **Computer skills:** Basic computer skills in MS office. Ability to navigate with the mouse, use keyboard to enter accurate information. **Mathematical Skills :** Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. **Reasoning Ability :** Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
