The Dispatch CAD System Support Specialist provides technical support for Emergency Medical Services Dispatch specific information technology applications - both vendor and in-house built solutions. Support is provided either directly to users of the systems or to support service delivery functions. **Key responsibilities include:** - Collaboration with business groups to understand and document requirements. - Provide technical options and recommendations that will support the identified business needs. - Leads validation sessions to ensure build and system configuration meet business requirements. - Uses specialized expertise to diagnose and resolve complex and inter-related issues related to EMS systems as well as recommend improvements/changes to processes. - Ensures appropriate prioritization of requests. - Lead testing prior to go live and monitors metrics to evaluate application systems. - Monitor systems to ensure stable operations and optimum performance and to ensure systems are proactively maintained. - Ensure change management processes and procedures are adhered to. - Participate in 24-hour on call rotation, as required. ### Description: As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. Experience with ASP, .NET, C#, HTML programming with XML, PHP and Python. Experience with SQL programming and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Network Protocols and packet structure. Familiarity with rest APIs. Strong analytical skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience in public safety. Experience in a healthcare environment.
