This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn all aspects of project management. **Key Responsibilities** * Assist on managing civil and commercial projects involving asphalt and concrete. * Communicate with suppliers, trades and clients regarding project needs. * Perform quantity takeoff, prepare project documents, & gather necessary info. * Organize subtrade work, attend site meetings and inspections, manage change order and force account documentation. * Prepare bid packages, including but not limited to filling out tender forms and prices, making construction schedules, obtaining the required documents, and staying updated with project files. * Compile pre-qualification packages. * Assist in preparing progress billings, obtain change order approval, and ensure client approval. * Provide internal QC, including specification testing, site imaging, job progression logs. * Capture site photos for QC, Marketing, and Promotion. * Perform any additional duties as required to support project objectives effectively. **Education, Training, Diplomas and Certifications** * Class 5 Drivers License is required. * Civil Engineering related background is preferred. **Technical Skills** * Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications. * Knowledge of construction equipment, materials, and processes. * Prior work in QC environment would be a strong asset. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.). * High level of time management, independent judgment, and reasoning. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, PlanSwift and Bluebeam would be an asset. **No Phone Calls Please** Job Type: Full-time Additional pay: * Bonus pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * RRSP match * Vision care Schedule: * Monday to Friday Education: * AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred) Experience: * quality control: 1 year (preferred) * Construction: 3 years (preferred) Work Location: In person
