At Hyatt, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of our purpose: ***to care for people so they can be their best.*** **About the Job** * Job Title: Event Sales Manager * Reports To: Director of Sales and Events * Department: Sales & Events * Availability: Full Time Regular Salary Range for the position will be CA$ 67,000 - CA$ 69,000 + Sales Incentive Program **Qualifications** * 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred * Bachelor''s degree preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Envision and Social Tables experience preferred * Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills * Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities * Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required * In-depth understanding of event logistics, catering, F&B, and pricing strategy0-= * Detail-oriented, flexible, and client-focused **Job Responsibilities (****include but not limited to)****:** * Proactively solicit and book social and corporate catering business. * Achieve quarterly Sales Quota and assigned discretionary goals. * Qualify leads, conduct site visits, and create tailored proposals and contracts. * Negotiate pricing of menus and space usage in line with hotel standards and goals. * Respond to incoming event opportunities including e-mails, walk-ins and phone calls. * Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. * Execute Sales Contracts and BEOs and ensure timeliness of final payments and deposits. * Serve the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations. * Work directly with clients, gathering necessary information for menu planning, floor plans, room set-up, timeliness, rental orders, dcor, cost, and billing details and any other requirements pertinent to their event in a timely manner and assist with those items as necessary. * Interact effectively with all departments within the hotel to ensure guest satisfaction and a positive work environment. * Onsite to service all events and in-house groups and be available weekends/ holidays. * Maintain detailed and accurate client records in accordance with department standards. * Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to inform sales strategy. **Why should you work with Hyatt Regency Toronto?** Our team members work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards.
