This vital role delivers physiotherapy services that promote gross motor development, physical literacy, health and wellness supporting childrens participation and independence at home, at school, and in the community. We are hiring for a **temporary position through June 2026, with the possibility of extension**, and offering a **flexible FTE ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 FTE depending on candidate availability**, with opportunities to work across multiple Pacekids programs including **Early Childhood Services (ECS), Community-Inclusive Hours (CIH), and Trellis programming**. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, values family-centered practice, and is committed to providing high-quality, inclusive therapy services. **What Youll Do** * Develop and coach physiotherapy programming in classroom, home, and community settings * Coach and consult with families, teachers, aides, and other staff to support childrens gross motor development, physical literacy, and overall wellness * Conduct screenings and assessments (formal and informal) for preschool and school-aged children to meet program-specific needs * Develop, monitor, and update individualized goals (IPP/SPPP/ISP) in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams * Participate in team and family meetings to ensure integrated support and goal alignment * Provide transition and summary reports; maintain documentation to meet College of Physiotherapists of Alberta (CPTA) and Pacekids standards * Meet all documentation, hour tracking, and billing deadlines as applicable * Educate and train Pacekids staff to enhance gross motor programming * Build rapport with children and families, adapting recommendations to meet individual needs in a neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed way * Contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture in line with Pacekids values **What You Bring** * Masters degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) * Registered member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta (CPTA) * Professional liability insurance (current and updated annually) * Current Alberta drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle for community work * Clearance from a Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector) and Child Intervention Record Check, current within 6 months * Proficiency in English (written and verbal) * Experience supporting preschool and school-aged children * Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues * Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse needs and abilities **Position Expectations** * Communicate effectively and respond to emails/voicemails within 2 business days * Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and families * Maintain a play-based, developmentally appropriate, and individualized approach to therapy * Demonstrate strong time management, including timely completion of documentation, reporting, and scheduling * Maintain professional growth and learning to ensure current, evidence-informed practice * Respect and maintain staff and client confidentiality at all times * Follow all Pacekids protocols for reporting absences, vacation requests, payroll submissions, and administrative responsibilities * Adhere to all applicable privacy and health information legislation (PIPA, FOIP, HIA) * Promote and comply with Pacekids Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code **Location & Schedule** * Based out of Pacekids Sunridge location: 2850 Sunridge Blvd NE, Calgary, AB and in the community as needed * Flexible FTE available (0.5 to 1.0 FTE depending on candidate availability) * Monday to Friday (schedule flexibility as needed based on operational requirements) * Paid mileage for community-based work **What We Offer** * Paid flexible sick and personal time (5.38% of hours worked) * Employer-paid health and paramedical benefits for eligible employees * RRSP matching and/or professional development allowance * 3 weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on FTE) and 13 paid holidays, including year-end closure * Paid mileage for community visits * Ongoing support for professional development, including in-house learning opportunities Pacekids Programs is an equal opportunity employer and values the contributions of a diverse workforce.
