We are seeking an experienced and reliable **Warehouse Assistant** to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for expertly maneuvering industrial trucks to transport goods, load/unload materials, and manage inventory. The Role: **Warehouse Assistant** Location: Oakville, Ontario Position Type: Permanent, Full-time Hours: Monday Friday, 6:30AM 3:00PM, with occasional overtime **Primary Responsibilities:** The position will involve the following tasks: * Provide support for the shipping and receiving department * Operate tow motor/forklift or other equipment to load, unload, and transport materials, parts, supplies and products throughout the manufacturing plant * Storing and stacking materials according to company standards * Inspect tow motor daily to ensure it is in good working condition * Report any mechanical issues with the tow motor to the supervisor * Maintain accurate records of materials and products moved using the tow motor * Verifying/identifying parts and/or materials; reporting shortages or damaged materials * Adhere to safety regulations while operating the tow motor **Requirements:** * 3-5 years of experience operating tow motors or similar equipment * valid tow motor forklift certification * ability to read and interpret S&R related documents and safety regulations * physical ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy loads of up to 50lbs for extended periods of time * proficient in basic math skills for inventory and record-keeping purposes **Personal Skills:** * good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment * ability to prioritize and plan tasks efficiently * excellent organizational skills * ability to follow written and verbal instructions * strong attention to detail and safety protocols We focus on getting the right people, which has contributed to our success!
