Position Overview Varsteel Ltd is currently seeking a Rebar Fabricator to play a key role in ensuring customer orders are fabricated and delivered on schedule and meet quality expectations. How to Apply: *PLEASE DO NOT APPLY THROUGH KIJIJI* Applicants may apply at Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Overtime, Day, Night, Evening Salary: $21.74 Hourly, Depending on experience 40.00 Hours per week, Other Benefits, Medical Benefits, Dental Benefits, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance Benefits, Group Insurance Benefits, Vision Care Benefits Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible Location: Lethbridge, Alberta (1 vacancies) Skill Requirements: Education: Completion of high school Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate conduct consistent with Varsteel Ltd Employee and Health & Safety Manual Maintain a safe working environment and exhibit a positive safety attitude Operate a rebar shearing machine to cut reinforcing bar to specific lengths Operate a rebar bending machine to bend reinforcing bar to specified shape Operate Overhead Crane to move and select material to be fabricated or shipped Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping Unload trailers and railcars and store material in designated storage areas Maintain work area in a clean and safe manner Assist other employees in any of the above tasks and any other duties as assigned. Experience and Skill Requirements Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification required, including weekends and holidays Must possess basic math and reading skills Ability to work outside in the elements, including extreme heat and cold Must be able to lift heavy objects as necessary Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, lift kneel, stand for extended periods of time, squat and reach Ability to interact with coworkers and customers in a positive manner, follow directions and company rules.
