JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a Constructability Manager to support a large-scale aviation infrastructure project based in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is responsible for ensuring that designs are practical, efficient to build, and aligned with construction realities, project timelines, and budget. Acting as a key liaison between the design and construction teams, this person will provide technical input during design development, identify potential build issues early, and help coordinate effective, cost-conscious solutions.RESPONSIBILITIESServe as the link between the design consultants and construction teams, attending all design meetings to review plans and provide constructability feedback.Use tools such as Bluebeam to review drawings and provide high-level comments, ensuring designs are buildable and meet project requirements.Identify potential construction challenges and suggest practical alternatives for methods, materials, or sequencing.Contribute to construction strategy planning, aligning designs with budget, schedule, and on-site constraints.Participate in the change management process by supporting RFIs, drawing clarifications, and scope changes.Support value engineering efforts by reviewing design options for efficiency, cost savings, and execution feasibility.Conduct site visits to validate constructability, identify issues, and provide real-time guidance.Track constructability issues and resolutions, contributing to risk registers and progress reports.Ensure design compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards, including aviation-specific protocols.Assist in confirming constructability during design handover and as-built documentation phases.WORK CONDITIONS This position is based in Mississauga, Ontario, with regular travel to site offices and construction zones, including airside and terminal areas. It is a full-time role, 5 days per week, with core working hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and a 1-hour lunch break (or as agreed upon with your manager). All employees must successfully complete a criminal background check.DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES8+ years of experience in construction, ideally with large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects.Strong working knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and translating designs into buildable plans.Experience conducting constructability reviews and coordinating early contractor input.Proficiency with tools such as Bluebeam, Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC/BIM 360).Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interface with designers, engineers, commercial, and site teams.Educational background in engineering, architecture, or construction management is preferred.Familiarity with airside construction standards, secure site operations, and RAIC protocols is considered a strong asset.Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in resolving design-construction alignment issues.
