We strive to build a work environment where safety, respect, commitment, success and fun are driving principles. **Position Summary:** The Glass Supervisor will play a vital role by overseeing the workflow management of the Glass department ensuring safe, accurate, and timely processing of client orders. The Glass Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to department employees, plan for production requirements, maintain production goals, implement manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives ensuring safety requirements are met and maintained as well as overseeing departmental inventory levels. Working within a small team, the right candidate will be passionate about delivering high quality work, with a roll up your sleeves kind of attitude. This is a full-time position which requires strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills and someone who is well versed in glass line and production environments. The successful candidate will be disciplined, punctual, and a strong team player dedicated to generating to an engaged and safe work environment. **Key Responsibilities:** Provides direction to department ensuring execution of production daily goals, allocation of resources, ensuring machine maintenance, collaboration with external production departments, and completion of work according to health and safety rules and company policies by creating a safe work environment and engaging department culture Supervises and coordinates workers engaged in cutting flat or sheet glass to length from continuous ribbon of glass to facilitate handling or cutting glass to size on automatic or semi-automatic cutting machines Reviews production schedules to determine cutting dimensions and cutting sequences Coordinates with Logistics department to facilitate glass shipments Completes reports and associated documentation to review with management Handles escalations in a timely manner utilizing conflict resolution to define long-term positive solutions Analyzes current and established procedures and partners with Production Manager to implement cost-effective process improvements to promote productivity and department efficiencies Enforces health and safety policies and procedures in daily work activities by monitoring work performed, conduct department health checks, deliver safety talks, monitor first aid supplies, ensure PPEs worn, and create general safety awareness with employees Participates in production meetings providing department status reports, informing team of critical events, and communicating efficiently with department supervisors and production leadership Ensures equipment maintenance completed in a timely manner to reduce downtimes and Audits shipments of glass received through ensuring accuracy of material and quality of products received Other tasks as assigned **Skills:** Ability to guide, coach, lead, and mentor staff Excellent oral and written communication skills Mechanical aptitude Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Excel, and databases Time management and project prioritization skills Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task Ability to lift 50 lbs **Education & Experience:** Post Graduate education or relevant Trades certification 5+ years leadership experience within windows manufacturing industry, preferably glass lines Previous experience leading projects and teams We thank all interested candidates for applying.
