Northern Health is seeking a family physician to care for our geriatric population. This is a 0.50 FTE position. Your role will include assessment, diagnosis, and recommendations for the purposes of care planning. A Certificate of Added Competence in Care of the Elderly or similar experience working with older adults would be ideal. There is an option to increase the FTE up to a full 1.0 FTE with various Family Practice work in the community, such as UPCC shifts, FP Oncology (funding for training may be available), ER shifts, Surgical Assists, OAT clinic shifts (training required - assistance with training available), and community short-term locums. We welcome new to practice physicians and have several supports available to ensure that your transition into the community and practice is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We offer flexible remuneration options such as Contract Based Payment to ensure a tranquil transition to practice.
