DUERVancouver, BCResponsible for developing premium product and ensuring it performs through garment fit and construction, and is meeting the needs of the DUER customer.Duties:Own development of garmentsOrganize daily workflow that adhere to GTM deliverables & development timelinesDevelop and create tech packs and specs to communicate requirements for Design aesthetic, fit, cost and construction.Measure garments and evaluate development against submitted tech packPrepare for fittings & presentations: Measure, evaluate fit samples submitsLead fittings with the support of the Sr PD and PD Manager: Present style history, take notes of the required fit and construction corrections discussed for assigned stylesSpec and analyze garments to determine compliance of measurements, workmanship, construction direction, and maintain fit intentAnalyze and communicate the outcome of the fittings and construction reviews with cross functional and vendor partners.Coordinate all factory and vendor communication throughout development process to ensure accurate material sourcing, and successful execution of productMaintain information docs, development tracker and product masterBuild vendor & cross-functional relationships through effective communication, through email, in person and virtually.Manage product/wear testing to assure the products meet the outlined standardsCompetencies:Experience with denim wash/washed garmentsStrong understanding of garment specs, construction and tech packsWorking knowledge of fabric, construction, draping, and pattern makingBasic understanding of gradingSelf-motivated individual who takes initiativeDemonstrate ability to manage multiple administrative tasks & competing prioritiesAttention to detail, and motivated by organization, discipline, data & accuracyStrong Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a teamQualifications:At least 2-3 years of Denim specific Product Development experienceDegree/diploma in Fashion Design or related fieldIn-depth experience with Excel and Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, In Design and PhotoshopExperience with PLMReports to:Product Development Manager.Working Team:Product Creation Group.Works Closely with:Design,Product, and Production / Quality.Location:Part time in office and part time remote.Job Type: 12 month contractThe typical hiring range for this position is $65,000-$75,000; The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills and experience.
