The Operations Manager, in coordination with the Executive and Senior Leadership team, is responsible for the development and execution of annual business plan and budget, as well as supporting the long-term strategic goals for their designated region and in support of the overall goals of growth and development of the company.Within their designation geographical region, The Operations Manager will lead their operational team in providing quality engineering and technical services to their clients, all the while ensuring the safety and morale of their workers and the profitability of the designated cost centres.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborates with peers under the direction of the Regional VP, Operations - Canada in the development of the annual Business Plan and Budget processResponsible for the implementation and execution of the business plan and budgetEmploys measures to ensure annual financial and other strategic goals are met, or exceeded in support of the organizations growth and financial sustainability targetsA key driver in the safety & security initiatives for assigned division; leads by example in demonstrating safe work behaviors in all aspects of workDirect the branch leadership in achieving their respective financial and organizational objectives, as a part of their overall business planCollaborates with Sales and Executive Leadership to drive regional growth by identifying market opportunities, expanding service offerings, enhancing customer retention, fostering innovation, and adapting strategies based on industry trends to ensure long-term business sustainability.Works with the operations staff to ensure clients are provided with superior customer service, opportunities for up-selling other Shermco services, evaluating where and when processes, procedure or policy improvements may be effectiveActs as a senior level company representative with Shermco clients, developing networks and fostering/maintaining relationships with key clients and establishing effective community relationsAct as a guide for all members of the team to ensure the processes, procedures and standards are consistently delivered and adhered to, both at the Branch and Company levelIdentifies, mitigates, and resolves any cross-departmental issues including logistics, manpower, training, tools and equipment, safety and human resources concernsWork effectively with other branches to mitigate issues and share tools, equipment, labour and other resources as necessary to support significant project requirementsEnsures the satisfactory resolution of concerns or issues, intervening in the more complex or sensitive issues with respect to customers, contracts, human resources, or safetyWork with Human Resources on staff planning and building high performing, effective teamsOversee successful completion of projects within assigned operations portfolio, step in and provide support as necessaryMonitor operational expenses and project profitability; make course corrections and address variances as neededPrepare, in consultation with Corporate Accounting, and monitor P&L department budgetsAnalyze and report on the daily, monthly and annual department's key performance indicators and industry trendsOversee and facilitate risk management and incident investigation processes conducted by branch safety or department managersQualifications:Completion of a post-secondary diploma, degree, trade or relevant technical program from a recognized Canadian post-secondary education institution;
