Argentus is excited to be partnering with a major Financial Services / Professional Services organization to support a key hire within their procurement and vendor management team. This organization is a global leader in their vertical, with an industry-leading technology procurement group. Today, theyve tapped Argentus to source an IT Vendor Manager! This role will work remotely out of anywhere in Canada to support the companys global IT Vendor Management operations. Reporting to the Director of Technology Procurement, this IT Vendor Manager will manage the companys large slate of IT vendor relationships with a focus on vendor optimization, process improvement, and proactive risk mitigation. In this role, the successful candidate will ensure that vendor activities adhere to contractual compliance and KPIs, and implement vendor management best practices to optimize vendor performance. You will apply your analytical skills to identify potential sources of risk in the companys IT supplier base, and proactively address those risks through effective vendor management. You will provide deep analysis of the companys vendor base, and provide consultation to a variety of internal stakeholders around risks, costs, and overall business impact. The ideal candidate will have:A strong track record in IT Vendor Management within a Financial Services and/or Professional Services organization. A good understanding of IT vendor categories is a must for this role, including common licensing and compliance requirements, as well as common vendor management KPIs and approaches. Strong analytics skills, as well as strong communications skills and an ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, suppliers and management.
