Warehouse Associate Canadian Warehouse GWBD Operations is a privately owned holding company that operates PRIER Products, Inc., Stern Williams Products LLC. & Fiat Products LLC. We manufacture residential and commercial plumbing products for the new construction, repair, and remodel markets. Our companies are growing through New Product Development, Organic Growth and Acquisitions. Currently, GWBD employs approximately 180 persons at two locations in Missouri and one in Kentucky. This position was previously outsourced through a third party logistics company and is new position for GWBD in Canada. We build products with purpose. We want all our associates to have fun and enjoy their work. **Position: Warehouse Associate** **Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor** **Location: Burlington, ON, Canada** **Compensation Plan: Non-exempt (hourly), first shift** **Overview of the Position:** The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for picking, packaging, and shipping customer orders for PRIER, Stern-Williams, and FIAT. He or she will also be asked to receive and stock inventory appropriately (i.e., FIFO). The candidate must possess the ability to work independently of direct supervision and can work as a member of a team. The success of this will be determined by efficient on-time, complete, and accurate shipments, and inventory accuracy of finished goods. The individual must have integrity, honesty, and the capability to handle situations tactfully. **Key Responsibilities:** * Understand and complies with company policies of safety and keeps his or her space clean and organized (i.e., 5S). * Assures work instructions for picking, packing, and shipping are followed and the highest standard of quality is maintained. * Works individually and with his or her team to maximize efficiency. * Understands bar coding systems and equipment, and works with ERP (i.e., Plex) software to effectively ship, receive, and manage inventory. * Able to operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift, etc.), safely and effectively. * Understands FIFO, able to read and understand inventory locations, and works with Warehouse Supervisor to effectively organize the warehouse to maximize safety, quality, and productivity. * Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs., and is comfortable handling heavy, large product. * Can stand, walk, push, and pull for extended periods of time. * Informs warehouse supervisor of quality issues and/or inventory shortages. * Maintains excellent attendance and schedules time off in advance. * Self-motivated and helpful in all areas of distribution. * Willing to be cross-trained and wear many hats when needed.
