Agilus is recruiting for a Cost Control Analyst in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.Overall project cost, including forecasting and variance analysis of field costs as well as internal projects costs. Provide monitoring, reporting, and control services throughout the project lifecycleA typical day:Provide in-depth analysis of projects, especially from the field control side to inform of current situations/progress and enable proactive communication to mitigate risks and exploit opportunitiesCollaborate with contractors to deliver training and support for EcoSys LEMs (Labor, Equipment, and Materials), while ensuring they provide correct rates and estimatesAssist the Project Engineer/Manager in Project Scope Management by providing insight into scope definition, verification, change control and financial health of projectsAssist as a dedicated Field Cost Analyst (FCA) resource for high risk, high complexity projectsPrepare expenditure profiles, work force histograms, comparative capital cost estimates for projects and total program monthly forecast summariesWork with internal team to understand incurred field costs and Customers for indirect costs and compare against budget and monthly forecast valuesPrepare project status with variance analysis and reasoning for Senior and Project ManagementForecast project and construction costs with detailed cost variance analysisSuccessful candidates will have:Minimum of 7 years (NO MORE THAN 10-YEARS) of previous related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Industrial Construction experience, and interfaces with the Engineering, Procurement, Contracting, Execution, and Commissioning phases of the project are highly desirableHigh proficiency with MS Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)Software experience with: MS Office Suite and Oracle or SAP.Power BI experience a plus, EcoSys experience is a plusTotal rewards:Competitive CompensationHybrid Model: In-Office (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday), Remote (Wednesday & Friday)Location: Edmonton or CalgaryDuration: 1 year
