Who we are?The Primary Construction Team consists of ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc. (ACCIONA) and Amico Major Projects Inc. (Amico), as Trillium Guideway Partners (TGP).What is the project?The Ontario Line (OL) is a fully integrated, stand-alone, rapid transit system that connects Ontario Science Centre to the Exhibition and Ontario Place grounds. The Northern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (NC) project consists of approximately 7 kms of underground subway and elevated guideway, with stations along the segment providing connections to surface bus and streetcar routes. The NC project has been divided into two main progressive design-build contracts: (1) the Elevated Guideways and Stations Contract (EGS) and the Pape Tunnel and Underground Station Contract (PTUS), with supporting Early Works.What is the Opportunity?The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and health, possess excellentcommunication skills, and have a proven track record in managing subcontractor agreements andcommercial matters in various contracting model in a progress design build project model (if any), or larger construction projects, infrastructure, rail, transit projects preferred.ResponsibilitiesExperience in subcontract administration in a large and complex construction projectDemonstrate personal commitment to the safety and health framework, policies, and management system requirements and expectationsWork closely with the commercial, construction, and technical teams, as well as subcontractors and external stakeholders, to manage subcontracts and contractual/commercial mattersMaintain strong relationships and clear communication lines with internal disciplines, subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholdersParticipate in, prepare for, and lead internal stakeholder and client/subcontractor meetings for progress updates and commercial mattersAnalyze and prepare monthly progress claims for internal approval with subject matter experts or relevant discipline team leadsLead and administer small to medium value subcontracts, cost-plus subcontracts, and service agreements or as neededLead meetings with subcontractors to discuss progress, address any issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.Draft and manage all necessary correspondence related to subcontractor agreementsPrepare and process progress application and invoice approval in accordance with joint venture or project policies and processesCoordinate with the construction team to ensure that all subcontractors are on schedule and that any delays are promptly addressed.Identify potential issues early and work with the team to find solutions, ensuring the project stays on track and within budgetAssist with mitigating, identifying, and evaluating potential variations/claims and resolving outstanding commercial issues and seek support as neededPrepare monthly financial reports and progress claims, ensuring accuracy and timely submissionContribute to continuous improvement activities to enhance effectiveness and efficiency, encourage a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters innovation and improvement in progressive design build project modelEnsure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company and joint venture policies and processesWork ConditionsOffice-based: on Mills Area, North York Next to Science Centre.Youll bring to the Team (Knowledge, Skills, Competencies)Demonstrated Hands-On experience in subcontract administration in a large and complex construction projectProven experience in subcontractor administration or a related fieldStrong understanding of construction contracts and commercial managementHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing contracts and financial documentsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Commitment to safety and health standardsExcellent presentation, oral, and written communication skillsFlexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and environmentsUniversity degree in Engineering or Supply Chain management, or a related field or field experience in construction project performing similar job responsibilitiesFamiliarity with contract management software and tools, such as SAP, SEO, Oracle, or similar ERP systemsPlease note that only candidates that meet requirements will be contacted.We do not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
