First, you will be responsible for monitoring environmental compliance at our landfills, transfer stations, material recovery, and waste collection vehicle maintenance facilities across Canada. Second, you will collaborate with our engineering team on a range of projects, including environmental studies, facility expansions, approval applications, design and construction of landfill gas and leachate management systems, and various waste management construction initiatives. A key aspect of this role will involve leading projects related to leachate management and landfill gas utilization, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and expand their role and responsibilities at Waste Connections. Reporting to the Canadian Region Engineering Manager, the Environmental Engineer will be based in Woodbridge, Ontario but will be required to travel to our facilities from Quu00e9bec to British Columbia.
