As an Application and Database specialist, you come with a diverse skill set to implement a variety of operational service and support assignments. In this role, you will be working with the Operations Applications team to solicit and identify business requirements, address usability concerns, and document solutions. As a member of the Operations Application Team, the Application and Database Specialist will support the Canadian Operations group in system projects to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects by gathering and analyzing data, generating and compiling reports, and processing data imports and updates to support the user community. Your success in the role depends on your ability to demonstrate and promote ethical behavior through the establishment and adherence to policies, procedures, and professional standards of conduct. As an Application and Database Specialist with us, the minimum responsibilities are: u2022 Assist with the daily management of operational functions of TRUX Fleet Management Software u2022 Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of end-user and internal system documentation u2022 Gathering data on process analysis, gap analysis, design of new functionality, and product testing u2022 Participate in project walkthroughs u2013 gathering data, design walkthrough, functional test plans, and implementation u2022 Assist with all internal software conversions to the TRUX Route Management software applications u2022 Participate in the testing and implementation of system upgrades and utility add-ons u2022 Review, analyze and maintain company data standards across servers with Import/Export/Replacement tools u2022 Assist with all database set up for large residential contracts requiring address and container tracking programs u2022 Assist with online training sessions when required u2022 Performs other job-related duties as assigned **WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:** u2022 Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills u2022 Knowledge of the transportation industry a must u2022 Having Waste Industry knowledge is asset u2022 Analytical and creative problem-solving skills u2022 5 years of working and technical knowledge of SQL, Crystal Reports and/or other accepted Reporting tools, SSRS and Tableau u2022 3+ years of developing reports in Tableau and SSRS from the ground floor up using various platforms and data sources u2022 5 years of Support Ticketing software experience u2022 5 years of Software Testing and Implementation u2022 5 years of Software planning and deployment experience u2022 Experience with waste industry TRUX system platform is an asset u2022 Exposure to Workday, Salesforce, RTA systems is beneficial u2022 Valid Driveru2019s license u2022 Ability to travel within Canada (primarily) and sometimes to US Corporate office u2022 Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements **WHAT YOUu2019LL GET FROM US:** u2022 Competitive Wages u2022 Retirement Plan with company match; let us help you save for your future u2022 Benefits; Medical, Dental, Vision u2022 Perks, perks, perks!
