As a proud plant-based manufacturer with an emphasis on organic and non-GMO ingredient sourcing, we boast a reduced-footprint operation compared to conventional food manufacturers. We are a customer driven organization catering to special diets and allergies while focusing on sustainable agriculture and the green food industry. In this role you will be responsible for preparing various customer orders for shipping, loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, and proper placement and storage of ingredients and materials. **Responsibilities:** * Make sure proper attire, uniform, safety shoes and hairnet are always worn and all food safety protocols are followed. * Isolate any product, which will not meet the established quality standards or may cause a food safety hazard if eaten. Notify quality assurance department of such problems. * Control and monitor raw materials inventory and ensure FEFO (first expiry, first out) inventory method is followed. * Ensure incoming ingredients are within specification and check best before date and lot. * Work closely and communicate with warehouse supervisor about daily shipments and incoming POs. * Put away ingredients and finished orders in their designated areas in the warehouse, freezers, and coolers according to allergens using electric walkies and reach trucks. * Review shipping documents daily and verify that pallets are ready, labeled and staged in holding freezer. * Ensure correct pallets and pallet quantities get shipped to customer. * Ship and load pallets into trucks using electric walkies. * Log shipping and QA records and submit to office daily. * Receive raw materials POs accurately using our tablet system. * Maintain a clean and organized shipping area. **Qualifications:** * At least two years of warehouse experience in a food manufacturing facility required. * Must be comfortable using tablets. * Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, time management. * Must be able to move quickly and work in a fast-paced environment. * Must be willing to work overtime. * High School Education Required. * Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Allergen Control Program is an asset. * Reach truck is required, walkie and/or scissor lift license an asset. **Working Conditions:** * Ability to stand on their feet all day. * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. * Working in walk-in freezers that are -18 Celsius only while putting away pallets or taking products out of freezer. * The position requires walking, pushing and pulling heavy objects, bending forward, reaching and occasionally driving in all seasons. * Long days during busy season.
