Job Description

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, direction, and evaluation of projects from inception to completion. This is a 12-month temporary contract position. **Main Duties**: * Prepare and submit project costing * Plan and prepare project schedules and milestones, monitoring progress against established schedules * Preparation of progress reports for clients and company * Source suppliers, negotiate purchasing including issuance of purchase orders * Ensure company quality standards are maintained **Employment Requirements:** * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team * Strong experience with fabrication and costing of materials and processes including sheet metal and tube * Ability to read blueprints and knowledge of software including SolidWorks and Illustrator * Excellent ability to prioritize and multi-task, superior time management skills * Outstanding written and spoken communication skills * Ability to liaise with clients and staff to ensure on-time delivery * Solid experience in use of ERP systems * Ability to negotiate and build strong working relationships with suppliers * Experience within the point-of-purchase industry and a strong engineering background would be considered an asset Somerville Merchandising Inc. is a equal opportunity employer.
