The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of stamping presses, roll forming equipment, and automated assembly equipment in a JIT environment. **Major Areas of Responsibilities** * Daily inspection and set up of production equipment as required * Building maintenance * Feed coils into machines * Make modifications to machines as necessary * Perform test runs * Ensure all equipment safety guards are properly in place * Complete required inspection reports/checklists * Operate various shop tools including lathe, milling machine * Fabricate components for production machines * General housekeeping of work area * Other duties as required * Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures at all times **Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Willingness/flexibility to learn roll-forming and other processes required * Strong organizational skills * Willingness to work to meet deadlines * Effective communicator with co-workers and all levels of management * Ability to work well independently as well as in a team **Education/Certification/Experience** * Strong mechanical skills * PLC programming * Experience in pneumatics and hydraulics (asset) * Strong conventional machining and grinding skills * Experience in precise measuring equipment (micrometer) * Ability to read blueprints for milling and lathing * Forklift experience and certification (asset) ***Why Work At Buchner?*** **Buchner Manufacturing Inc.** takes pride in the reputation we have built by supplying quality products at very competitive prices, and always with the focus of providing exceptional service to our customers.
