Reports to: Sr. Operations Manager Responsibilities * Monitor packing line equipment such as straw applicators, shrink wrappers, case sealer, palletizers, and bar & date coding machines. * Ensure all supplies (straws, glue, etc.) are stocked and refilled for production. * Manually load trays of finished products on pallets, prepare stock for palletizing procedure. * Check conveyors prior to production to ensure equipment is functioning properly. * Inspect operating equipment to identify and resolve obstructions to resume operations. * Alert mechanic if equipment malfunctions and work with them to correct problem. * Maintain all equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition by following proper cleaning procedures. * Perform work in safe and efficient manner. * Ensure all paperwork is filled out accurately, start-up and cleaning checklist, downtime sheets, and quality check sheets. * Compliance with the Company''s Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP. * Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc. * Other duties as assigned. Profile * Grade 12 or equivalent level of education * Ability to stand for long periods of time, and do light lifting (up to 30 lbs) * Ability to learn multiple pieces of operating equipment and basic trouble-shooting techniques * Ability to work with and communicate well with others (ability to read, write and speak clearly in English) * Attention to detail * Experience as a machine operator in a food manufacturing or product manufacturing is preferred * Good knowledge of HACCP is an asset (training will be provided otherwise) * Experience in a warehouse environment is an asset * NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit.
