Civil Project Manager Saint John, NB Our client, a heavy civil construction company is looking for a Project Manager to join their Engineering team. Responsibilities Develop Site Work Schedules: Create and manage site work schedules, ensuring all environmental and safety requirements are met before project initiation. Resource Management & Budgeting: Prepare and track budgets, manage costs, and ensure resource allocation aligns with project needs. Contract Administration: Oversee contract administration, manage relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure project compliance and quality. Client Meetings & Problem Resolution: Initiate and participate in meetings with clients to resolve issues, address design changes, and ensure project alignment with client expectations. Team Leadership & Coaching: Act as a mentor and resource for your team, providing guidance and support to foster a high-performing work environment. Design Compliance: Ensure all construction activities adhere to approved design specifications and standards. Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and quality. Progress Claims & Invoicing: Generate and submit progress claims and invoices to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. Qualifications Experience in Large Civil Projects: 3-5 years of direct experience managing large civil projects with a strong track record of successful project delivery. Education: A Civil Engineering Degree is required; Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation is preferred. Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset; P.Tech certification is required. Skills : Proficiency in MS Project and Excel, advanced understanding of civil engineering concepts, and strong leadership skills.
