Learn more in Achvs Impact Report: About The EVolveSkills Project EVolveSkills is a national initiative led by Achv to support Canadas transition to a low-carbon economy by training automotive industry employees in Electric Vehicle (EV) repair and maintenance. The project aims to train over 1300 participants across Ontario, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia, focusing on building a future-ready workforce and strengthening employer capacity to meet industry demands. Position Overview We are seeking five results-driven Industry Training Engagement Specialists to lead employer partnership efforts within EVolveSkills. The role involves working with SMEs, industry associations, project partners, and supporting employer engagement, micro credentialing, recruitment pathways, and diversity initiatives in the EV and automotive sectors. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with employers in Ontarios EV maintenance sector. Conduct employer needs assessments and promote micro credentialing benefits. Support workforce upskilling and create pathways for new hires from underrepresented communities. Facilitate access to supports for employees and track engagement activities. Collaborate with partners and represent Achv at industry events. Travel within the Greater Toronto Area and to rural/northern Ontario as needed. Qualifications Degree or diploma in Business, Human Resources, Workforce Development, or related fields. 35 years experience in employer engagement, workforce development, or partnership building. Understanding of labor market trends in automotive and EV sectors. Experience working with SMEs and diverse communities. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proven track record of meeting KPIs and targets.
