Job Description

Magnet is helping our client, a leading Global organization within the Consumer Product Space, look for a Senior Manager, Shopper Insights to joing their Canadian Commercial team and work out of their Mississauga Head Office. This individual will be responsible for sourcing relevant Insights and championing the implementation and execution of recommended actions at customers, through customer directors (SLT), account managers and shopper marketers. Also, will be charged with driving best practices by leveraging knowledge of latest trends in Shopper Insights in Canada and Globally. Role Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, analysis and harvesting of Shopper Insights studies to be translated into sales stories and business results Responsible to provide in depth analysis of Category trends, key competitive threats and Macro Economics trends that should impact the achievement of our Corporate Financial plan Increase interaction and communication of latest Shopper Insights with our key customers Set the strategic priorities for the Insights team and ensure team members have the skills and resources to execute their plans Accountable to create and communicate strategic Shopper Insights direction for the Canadian organization and to execute action plans that will deliver corporate business objectives Execute monthly consumption deep dive analysis to highlight latest trends, competitive threats and opportunities Responsible to assess needs, evaluate products, negotiate costs, seek financial approval and ensure spend is aligned with budget Candidate Requirements University Degree Previous people management experience required, including training, development and performance management 5-7 years of progressive CPG Category Management and Sales experience Expert Nielsen analytical knowledge (Markettrack, Homescan, Spectra) Expert knowledge of category management principles and Shopper Insights with experience in application to retail context Expertise in translating complex learning into simple, specific implications and recommendations Superior analytical and technical skills
