Hughes Safety Showers is a world leader in the manufacturing of emergency safety showers, eye/face wash and decontamination equipment designed to operate across all industries regardless of location, climate or local hazards. **General Summary** The General Laborer has responsibility for various manual/physical tasks. To be successful as a general laborer you must be able to perform a wide variety of tasks that require stamina and an eagerness to learn on the job. A good general laborer can understand instructions and carry them out efficiently within the given deadline. **Principal Duties and Responsibilities** * Crate/Package Product for Customer Orders. * Provide Weights and Dimensions of packaged product. * Test Product for defects/leaks. * Assemble materials. * Read and interpret drawings and work orders. * Ability to work with power tools. * Clean parts and work area thoroughly. * Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties. * Preference given to candidates with a certified forklift license **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required** * Must have a great attitude and willing to grow with the company. * Must always diligently follow safe practices for yourself and team members. * Must be able to work in a flexible team environment with job rotation as needed. * Must be able to work overtime as needed. * Willingness to cross train for other job functions such as product testing, quality review and Electrical/Mechanical Assembly. **Working Conditions** * Ability to use ladders at least 10 feet off the ground * Ability to bend, twist, squat, stand and walk up to 8 hours per day * Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, pull, push and lift 50 lbs. up to 8 hours per day and when overtime is scheduled. * Wear all required PPE including steel toed shoes and safety glasses * Good physical condition and endurance **Benefits:** **We offer excellent comprehensive benefits that include:** * 7.5 hour work days, Monday Friday * Medical, Dental & Vision plans * Paid time off including vacation & personal time * 10% Monthly Hourly Bonus Program designed to recognize employees and incentivize them to do their best every day. * Retirement Plans * Company paid Employee Assistance Program The above declarations are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor are they intended to be such a listing of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
