We look forward to welcoming you to our closely-knit team making a difference in the packaging world! **The benefits of joining our team as the Maintenance Technician:** * Opportunities for growth and career advancement * Employee Group Savings Plan * Medical and dental benefits * 24-hour employee gym * Educational assistance and professional development * Fun company-sponsored events like bowling, paintball, snowshoeing, food truck lunches **Summary:** The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and repairing Industrial equipment **Primary Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:** * Plans, leads, organizes and controls maintenance-related activities * Manages relationships with contractors and service providers * Plans and oversees all repair and installation activities * Ensures that maintenance SOPs are followed * Ensures all production staff work safely and follow established safety procedures * Establishes and maintains positive relationships with subordinates * Monitors food safe practices of subordinates to ensure compliance with IFS standards * Monitors personal hygiene of production staff * Troubleshoots and repairs various electro-mechanical equipment including plumbing, carpentry, etc. * Monitors parts/ materials inventory and places orders as required * Updates the maintenance schedule and delegates tasks to maintenance staff * Creates daily to-do lists for urgent matters * Ensures maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with all related health, safety and environmental policies and procedures * Performs administrative tasks * Performs other related duties and tasks as required to meet the needs of our operations **Required Skills and Abilities of the Maintenance Technician:** * Reliable Vehicle for Travel and Class 5 Licence * Strong Mechanical Aptitude * Leadership Skills * Detail-Oriented * Problem Solver * Ability to work as part of a team * Organization skills * Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work with detailed objects Hours: **Morning shift, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm** We invite you to visit our website at to learn more about our business.
